CRF450R

Overview

The bike that revolutionized open-class motocrossers combines a sturdy but lightweight fourth-generation twin-spar aluminum frame with an awesome 449cc Unicam four-stroke liquid-cooled engine. The sum of these high-tech parts is a bike that produces right-now acceleration from low in the rev range, immense top-end horsepower, and the type of crisp, controlled handling that separates winners from the rest of the pack.

Overview

The CRF450X features loads of high-tech hardware, including a Unicam valve train, lightweight titanium intake valves, and a 40mm Keihin FCR-type carburetor with roller-bearing throttle slide. More? How about Honda's latest frame technology: a fourth-generation twin-spar aluminum frame with forged aluminum steering head and tapered downtube for optimum rigidity and light weight. With the CRF450X, you get the best of the CRF450R. And a whole lot more.

CRF250X

Overview

Too often, serious off-road bikes are just warmed-over motocrossers with lights — either too temperamental to work in the tight stuff, or too de-tuned to be competitive. Not the CRF250X. Everything about this bike — from its cam timing to its wide-ratio five-speed transmission — has been designed specifically to meet the demands of off-road riders and racers.

CRF250R

Overview

The tractability of a four-stroke with the top-end rush of a two-stroke? Impossible, you say? Then you haven't experienced the CRF250R. With its lightweight chassis and high-revving 249cc Unicam engine, this is one four-stroke that really can put the best two-strokes behind it. And in 2006 those trailing the CRF250R will get a perfect view of its distinctive new technology: a dual muffler system that increases low-end torque, reduces inertial mass, and looks way cool too.

CR250R

Overview

With the success of our CRF four-strokes, we could have given up on the CR250R. But this staple of motocross competition remains a favourite of many riders, and it's still winning races all across North America. The CR250R's combination of explosive power and light weight keep it ahead of the two-stroke pack.

CR125R

Overview

Twist the throttle and you'll feel it: power that rockets you off the berm and revs that climb to the stratosphere. Pound through the whoops or dive into a tight switchback and you'll feel it again: composed handling and spot-on suspension compliance. It's the feel of a bike with uncanny balance and a winning pedigree. Could we be talking about anything other than the CR125R?

CR85R

Overview

The CR85R packs a whole bunch of high-end MX technology in a package that's just the right size for a junior rider. Everything from the 28mm flat-slide carburetor, to the Nikasil-plated cylinder, to the six-speed transmission, tell you that the CR85R's two-stroke engine means business. And the chassis is just as sophisticated. Small in size, yes. But when you're riding a CR85R, you get to dream big.
