BF200The four-stroke Honda BF200 V6 is based on the 3.5 litre engine used in the Honda Pilot and Acura MDX and shares many of the characteristics of its big brother, the BF225. Meaning, it features the latest four-stroke technology, allowing it to deliver smooth, clean, quiet, reliable, and efficient power across the entire rpm range. These engines are so quiet, we don't even have to put sound dampening insulation on the cowling like the competition does.
BF225Honda's revolutionary V6 four-stroke BF225 V6 outboard motor is the largest displacement in the 225 HP category and certainly the most technologically advanced. The BF225 features our exclusive VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system, delivering a unique combination of optimum performance and outstanding fuel economy. The 60° V6 offers a powerful, compact 24-valve SOHC design that optimizes intake charge and exhaust gases to maximize combustion efficiency, thus allowing you to go a lot further on a tank of gas. In fact, Honda's advanced four-stroke technology delivers a superior blend of power, torque, rpm, and fuel economy, all with emissions so low, it exceeds 2006 EPA standards and has received a CARB 3-Star rating. |
