Tips from the Pros
Tech Tip 001 - When checking the oil level ensure your bike has been warmed up. Then let it cool down for at least 30 seconds and check oil with the bike standing up straight. Some models have a window some have a dipstick. You do not need to screw in the dipstick to check!
Tech Tip 002 - Do not clean your windshield with chemical cleaners. Only use non-detergent based warm soapy water or a plastic cleaner such as plexus. (The same stuff that's good for your visors!)
Tech Tip 003 - Motorcycle batteries are susceptible to losing their charge if not used. It is also hard on a battery to be used only in the city as the engine speeds do not climb high enough to fully charge the battery. It is recommended to charge your battery at least once a month to keep the battery charged up.
Tech Tip 004 - Gas is unstable and will actually solidify if left for too long. In carbureted models it is necessary to drain the carbs if left for more than a couple weeks. We do this for you as part of our storage program.
