The CBR® 250R introduced many people to the joys of riding smaller supersport machines and its followers are dedicated. Building on the success of the original platform, the CBR® 300R adds aggressive new styling and increased power and torque throughout the rev range. Retained are the 250's excellent mass centralization, aggressive geometry and functional ergonomics, but an improved power-to-weight ratio enhances performance across the board. An 8 mm stroke increase gives a roughly 17% increase in power while the light and manageable weight ensures riders can take full advantage of the increased performance. The single cylinder engine design also has a number of advantages over twin cylinder competitors. Not only does the advanced engine reduce overall weight and size, improving manoeuvrability, but it simplifies maintenance, improves fuel economy due to reduced drag and lowers operating cost. Wrapped around the heavily revised engine is all new bodywork that takes its styling cues directly from the razor sharp CBR® 1000RR. The CBR® 300R now looks every bit as aggressive as its larger siblings and the family resemblance is well earned.

The 286 cc single-cylinder engine is purpose-built for the CBR® 300R, and boasts high-performance features such as dual overhead camshafts driven by a Hy-Vo-type silent chain, forked roller rocker arms, a compact four-valve cylinder head, a counterbalance shaft, and liquid cooling.

The light and compact engine contributes to the CBR® 300R’s nimble steering, intuitive handling and impressive power-to-weight ratio, allowing it to compete with twin-cylinder bikes of similar displacement.

New CBR® 500R-type exhaust is an aesthetic and functional upgrade.

Diamond-shaped twin-spar steel frame plus a 37 mm front fork and Pro-Link single-shock rear suspension provide impressive handling and a comfortable ride.

Sporty ergonomics promote a balanced seating position for optimum control and long-distance comfort.

All-new CBR® 1000RR inspired bodywork features dual headlights and colour matched undercowl. The unmistakably CBR® fuel tank and steeply raked tail complete the aggressive look.

Multi-function digital instrument panel includes speedometer, tachometer, engine temperature display, fuel gauge, clock, odometer and trip meter.

A narrower, reshaped seat makes it easier to reach the ground.

Grab rails on the tail section are designed to fit gloved hands, giving passengers a dedicated handhold while riding two-up.
